Surprise, Surprise, Surprise…

It really was. In fact on sunday I got a few surprises. First up, the dreaded lease renewal & let me tell ya I’ve been avoidng it, simply because I’m feeling like I need respite from the hustle & bustle of city living, .. procrastinator that I am, never did any house/apt hunting:(

Anyhow, I’m not prepared sooo…my brother in real estate advised a month to month, or short term until I get it together. That’s cool. Got an email from a newspaper,  asking if they could run a poem I’d written in their “Poets corner”…after all, April is Poetry Month. said yes! to the offer & commission:)

Another blog looking for writers (no pay) accepted my offer of writing a monthly piece for her As Not Seen On Tv Blog… I’m writing on 2 short stories with May deadlines, so I was disappointed to come across an invite from Author seeking essay inclusion in a book she’s publishing, deadline 3/31st…

Quick!! write brief synopsis… frantic email sent asking “am i too late?” The author responded that she, too, was a veteran& was intrigued with story idea … “go ahead,  send it, ASAP! ”

Waiting to hear back from interview subjects…
